How to configure WIFI on a Yealink device
This guide covers setting up Wi-Fi on a T54W, but the process is the same for other Wi-Fi-enabled Yealink devices. Wi-Fi can be set up via either the physical phone or by logging into the phone's web client.
Physical Phone Setup.
From the home screen, press "Menu", then 6, then 8.
This will take you to the WIFI enablement screen.
Toggle option one, Wifi, to ON
Then scroll to option 5, Available Networks and press the scan option.
Select your wifi network and press connect.
Enter your wifi network password when prompted.
To make it easier, toggle the Show Password option to Enabled.
You will see the wifi symbol on the main screen when you are connected.
Setup via your phone web client
Use the Status option to find your phone's LAN IP address.
Press the Menu button from the phone's home screen, followed by 1.
The LAN IP of the phone will be shown on the first line.
To connect to your phone web client, open a browser and connect to
https://<LAN IP OF PHONE>
e.g. https://192.168.1.100
This will prompt you for a username and password for the phone.
The default username and password for a Yealink device is:
username: admin
password: admin
If your phone has been configured using the Metis provisioning platform, its username and password are in the Hardware section.
Select the VIEW option next to the phone's Mac address.
The password will be in the section marked Web Interface Password
From the left menu, select Network, the WIFI, then ADD
Click Add, and enter the details of your wifi network
Ensure that WIFI is enabled, and save the configuration.
Check the status of your wifi connection via the Status option on the left menu.
