Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of log in security to your Metis account. Users can set up 2FA individually from their profile page.

How two factor works
After you enable two-factor authentication, you'll log in to Metis with your password, then we'll send a special verification code via email or your chosen authentication app.
Before You Begin
If you would like to use an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator or Authy) you'll want to have those apps set up and ready to add a new login.
Enable two factor authentication
- Login to Metis and select Account Details from the left hand menu.
- Click the + symbol on the Two Factor Authentication display
- To setup 2FA with your authenticator app, scan the QR code and enter the response 2FA code. To complete the process, click, Authenticate 2FA code.
- To setup 2FA via email, toggle the Email preferences option. When logging into Metis, a verification code will be sent to the main contact email address associated to the account.
- If you enable both 2FA via email and your authenticator app, you can decide on your preferred method via the 2FA preference option.
Deactivate two factor authentication
To deactivate 2FA via the authentication app, enter your 2FA code, and select the deactivation option.
