Manually configure Yealink phones
We recommend Metis users provision Yealink phones using the Hardware page: Provision Snom or Yealink handsets. This guide should be only used when that option is not available.
Factory reset your Yealink phone before configuring it, especially if it's a second-hand device. After the factory reset has completed, press the OK button to get the phone's IP address.
Enter the IP address into a web browser and log in. The default username and password is admin.
- Click the 'Account' tab
- Select 'Account 1' from the Account drop-down
- Using the details from your Metis Extensions & Voicemail page, enter the following information:
- Enter your Metis SIP Username into Register Name and User Name
- Enter your Metis SIP Password into Password
- Enter your Metis Registrar into SIP Server
Save your changes and your phone should register within a few seconds.
We recommend you change the default administrator password as soon as possible.
You may also want to ensure the phone's codecs (Account > Codecs) match Packnet's default codecs—a-law, u-law and g729.
