Broadband appointment types - Advanced, Premium and Standard
Three appointment types are offered:
Advanced Managed Install - FTTP
Advanced Managed Install - SOGEA
All are chargeable, and the price may change depending on the associated broadband product.

NTE: Network Termination Equipment.
Usually, a socket on the wall or, for FTTP, an Openreach fibre modem
Standard Appointment
What is a Standard appointment?
- Install an NTE socket within 1m of the nearest power socket to the point of entry to the building.
- Connect Partner provided router
- Connect one device (usually the router)
- Demonstrate sync speed to a responsible adult (householder/proprietor)
Premium Appointment
What is a Premium appointment?
In addition to the standard installation tasks:
- Install an NTE socket up to 30m from the point of entry to the building
- Install up to 2 data extension kits

Advanced Appointment - FTTP
There is a significant cost associated with this option. Please check your pricing before selecting.
Key Features:
- ONT Connection: Openreach will connect the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) inside the premises up to 100 meters from the Customer Splice Point (CSP), inclusive of internal and external wiring distances.
- Wall Drills: The service includes one external wall drill and one internal non-concrete wall drill if necessary.
- Cable Tray Work: Openreach will use existing open cable trays, work through removable and accessible ceiling or floor tiles, and utilise in-situ structured cabling.
Advanced Appointment - SOGEA
There is a significant cost associated with this option. Please check your pricing before selecting.
Key Features:
- Connection: Openreach will connect the NTE up to 100m inside the premises, inclusive of internal and external wiring distances.
- Wall Drills: The service includes one external wall drill and one internal non-concrete wall drill if necessary.
