Premium and standard appointments
Two appointment types are offered: Standard Managed Install and Premium Managed Install, both are chargeable and the price may change depending on the ordered product. Please refer to the ‘Pricing’ page in Metis for a complete list.
Users should bear in mind where in the building the NTE is required and select their appointment type accordingly.
What is a Standard appointment?
An Openreach engineer will visit your premise and perform:
- Install an NTE socket within 1m of the nearest power socket to the point of entry to the building.
- Connect Partner provided router
- Connect 1 device (usually the router)
- Demonstrate sync speed to a responsible adult (householder/proprietor)
What is a Premium appointment?
In addition to the standard installation tasks:
- Install an NTE socket up to 30m from the point of entry to the building
- Install up to 2 data extension kits
Appointment slots
A list of available appointments, based on minimum lead times and engineer availability, is provided along with a choice between AM (08:00-13:00) and PM (13:00-18:00). Note these are preferred and not confirmed until the order is committed.
