Manage customer pricing

This article is relevant to resellers and channels.

You have three options available if you have multiple customer accounts under your channel account and want to make pricing changes.

  1. You can update all pricing associated with all service groups and the services within each, using the 'Overall Markup' percentage and apply that to one or multiple customers simultaneously.
  2. You can update the prices associated with all services within a service group by 'Section Markup percentage' and simultaneously apply that to one or multiple customers.
  3. You can manually update the price associated with a single service within a service group and apply that to one or multiple customers simultaneously.

As always, first up, log in to Metis and select 'Pricing' from the left menu. Then select the tab 'Manage Customer Pricing'

Updating customer pricing using the Overall Markup percentage

Select the customer accounts you are applying the price change to. Use 'Select All' as required or click on individual accounts.

Enter the markup amount in the first box with the '%' symbol. Then click Apply.

In the table showing the 'Service name' categories, the 'Updating' column will change to show the same number as the 'Total Services' column.

To submit the changes, click 'Save Changes Made' at the base of the page.

Updating customer pricing using the 'Section Markup Percentage %'

Select the customer accounts you are applying the price change to. Use 'Select All' as required or click on individual accounts.

Enter the markup amount in the 'Service Name' line with the '%' symbol. Then click Apply

In the example, above we are updating the 'Numbering' service name category by 50% and this change will be applied to all the selected customer accounts.

To submit the changes, click 'Save Changes Made' at the base of the page.

Manually updating the price associated with an individual service.

Select the customer accounts you are applying the price change to. Use 'Select All' as required or click on individual accounts.

Then click 'Open' on the relevant 'Service name' line to show all individual services within the 'service name' category.

Enter the manual price as required in the 'Sell Price' column boxes. As each price is updated, the number in the 'Updating' column will increase and show the number of changes made.

In the above example, seven services have been manually updated. Each of these services is now flagged as manually updated, as shown in the column on the right. Once you have completed the changes, click 'Save Changes' to submit.

Managing manually updated pricing

Pricing changed outside the Overall Markup Percentage, or the Section Markup %, will be shown as Manually Updated equals Yes. To view and revert a service from having a manually updated price, to one managed by the Overall Markup Percentage, select the 'Manually Updated Pricing' tab from the options at the top of the page.

Select a customer account to see a full list of all manually managed prices, or use the 'Select All' option to view all.

From the list of 'services' shown, click on the dropdown in the 'Manually Updated' column and select 'No'. This will revert the price associated with the service to being calculated using the 'Overall percentage markup' associated with the channel account. This is done in real-time, and no additional action is required to make the change.
