How to update the display name on your phone with Metis hardware provisioning

This guide assumes that you have already added your device to the Metis provisioning system.

This feature works for Snom and Yealink devices.

Find your customer within the Metis portal, select Hardware from the left menu, and then select the Provisioning tab.

In this tab, you can find the MAC address of the phone you want to configure or change.

Click View next to the MAC to go to the configuration screen.

Next, choose the Add/Remove option.

From the left panel, select Display Name and click the green arrow to move it to the right panel.

Once it's on the right panel, select Save Changes.

The next screen will ask you to update the value associated with the Display Name setting. Enter the value you want, then click Save and Deploy.

Once that is done, reboot your device so the new setting takes effect.
