Time of day routing (TODR) lets you assign working hours and out-of-office hours call routines to your incoming numbers. Doing so creates two separate dial plans, one for working hours and another for out-of-office (OOH) hours.
How to add your initial TODR with working days from Monday to Friday and opening hours from 9 AM to 5 PM
From the left menu, select Incoming Calls and then click the Time of Day Routing tab.
From the Inactive tab, click Add To next to the number to create your first rule.
Select 09:00 and 17:00 as your start and end times, respectively.
In the Days of the Week section, choose Weekdays Only
Do not select anything for Days of the Month and Months of the Year.
Next, please submit the rule.
Once created, you will see the following confirmation message.
How to set TODR with different working days and opening hours
In this example, we will create two rules.
Rule 1 covers Monday to Thursday with 9 AM to 5 PM opening times.
Rule 2 covers Friday to Saturday with opening times of 10 AM to 3 PM.
Rule 1 - Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Select 09:00 and 17:00 as your start and end times, respectively.
Select Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for Days of the Week.
Do not select anything for Days of the Month and Months of the Year.
For Order Position, select 1.
For Calls in Time Range Go To, select working hours.
Rule 2 - Friday to Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM
Select 10:00 and 15:00 as your start and end times, respectively.
For Days of the Week, select Friday and Saturday. Do not select anything for Days of the Month and Months of the Year. For Order Position, select 1.
For Calls in Time Range Go To, select working hours.
How to view existing TODR rules
You can view both rules by selecting View Time of Day routing rules from the Active Time of Day routing tab.
Your rules will look like this.
How to modify an existing TODR rule
First, find the rule you want to modify via Incoming Calls > Time of Day Routing > Active. Then select the modify option. Next, click the edit (pencil icon) next to the line you want to change.
The existing rule will be displayed, and you can change it as needed. Once you are done, just submit it.
How to delete a TODR rule
First, find the rule you want to modify via Incoming Calls > Time of Day Routing > Active. Then select the delete from option. Next, click the bin icon next to the line you want to delete.
A confirmation message will be shown before deletion is completed.
Select Yes, and the rule will be entirely deleted.
