Integrated SoGEA/FTTP migration and number port

This allows the user to place an order that will simultaneously activate the following;

  1. Migrate an existing FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet) service to SoGEA (Single origin generic ethernet access) or FTTP (Fibre to the premises)
  2. Port the PSTN/WLR3 number used with the FTTC product to the Packnet VOIP network
  3. Cease the original WLR3 service.

Order Scenario

At present, this process only works if the following conditions are in place:

FTTC service is with Packnet via either Nasstar/KCOM/Eclipse or Vodafone

WLR3 service is with Packnet via Vodafone/BT

How to place an integrated SoGEA/FTTP migration and number port order

Start by using the broadband availability checker. Enter your number, and choose the required SoGEA service from the available products. Select ‘Place Order’.

On the next screen, select ‘Migration’ from the provision type options’ and select ‘Yes’ for ‘Integrated Number Port’.

Then choose your address, care level and ip addresses options.

Then enter your contact information and choose the appointment type you prefer, before finally choosing the activation date for the order (standard lead times apply). Then go ahead and click place order, and you are done.

Once the order has been placed, its progress can be tracked via the Broadband report. An order associated with a number port will show this information in the order details section.

  • Integrated number port (YES)
  • Phone Number (The number to be ported to the Packnet voice network)
  • Exchange Prefix (This is the exchange prefix associated with the phone number)

Migration order processing

Once the integrated SoGEA/FTTP migration and number port order have been placed, it uses the standard lead times for a broadband migration order. The standard lead time for migration orders is ten working days.

Number Porting

The number associated with the WLR3 line will be added to the customer account on the integrated SoGEA/FTTP migration and number port order's completion date. It will be available via the 'Numbers' section of Metis. The number cannot be added to Metis before this date.

WLR3 Order

The original order created for the WLR3 service will be ceased on the integrated SoGEA/FTTP migration and number port order's completion date and billing stopped.
